Seamless integration between home office and car
To keep pace with consumer demand, developers and auto manufacturers need an in-vehicle
infotainment (IVI) platform that provides seamless integration between home, office
and car, while maintaining compatibility and interoperability between successive
generations of products.
With the introduction of the Intel® Atom™ microarchitecture, a very low-power implementation
of Intel® architecture, Intel continues to meet the design requirements of mobile
computing and small form factor embedded systems, including IVI systems. When coupled
with extensive hardware and software from Intel’s large community of developers,
automotive OEMs and their suppliers benefit from rapid development and simplified
upgrades at minimal cost.
Design highlights
- Intel architecture technology is fully interoperable with existing home and office technology
- Support for typical in-vehicle infotainment connectivity functions, including Bluetooth wireless connectivity, Media Oriented Systems Transport* (MOST*) interface support, CAN network connectivity, Ethernet and more
- Broad software compatibility enables software-only upgrades
