USB

The NUC 12 Extreme / Pro X Kit supports thirteen USB ports. All thirteen ports are high-speed, full-speed, and low-speed capable. The USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports are capable of up to 10gb/s per port. The port arrangement is as follows:

  • USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports:
    1. One ports implemented with external front panel connector (black)
    2. Six ports are implemented with external back panel connectors (blue)
  • USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports:
    1. Two ports are implemented with as USB Type-C back panel connectors (black)
    2. One port is implemented with external front panel USB Type-C (black)
  • USB 2.0 ports:
    1. Two ports via two single-port internal 1x4 1.25 mm pitch headers on NUC 12 Extreme / Pro X Compute Element (contained in the 20pin Common IO header)

Computer systems that have an unshielded cable attached to a USB port may not meet FCC Class B requirements, even if no device is attached to the cable. Use a shielded cable that meets the requirements for full-speed devices.
