Auto-Provisioning is a method to automate the application and system software installation and configuration of a bare-metal system. The goal is to help System Integrator perform multiple device provisioning concurrently to support mass deployment. There are two stages of Auto-Provisioning:

Stage 1: Provisioning stage

The provisioning stage is the stage to pre-provision the bare-metal IDV Hosts and IDV Servers. The pre-provisioning process involves the auto-installation and configuration of the IDV Hosts’ and IDV Servers’ operating system, installation of virtual machines, and configuration of auto virtual machines launching at boot. This helps System Integrators perform multiple device provisioning concurrently to support mass deployment.

Stage 2: Deployment stage

The deployment stage is after the IDV Hosts and Servers have been provisioned; the IDV Hosts and Servers can be deployed to the production environment thereafter.
