Prerequisites

1. Download Veyon 4.8.3 from the official GitHub release.
2. Download Python 3.12.4 at Windows installer (64-bit).
3. Get the latest package idv-v1.3.13.zip.
4. Open the command prompt as Administrator.
5. Create a new folder:

mkdir C:\Windows\Setup

6. Unzip the idv package, and copy the files below into the folder created in step 5:
   1. At /scripts/idv-client/
      • idv-vm.conf
   2. At /gui folder, zip idv-vm-configurator folder as below:
      • idv-vm-configurator.zip
   3. At /scripts/windows_​setup/ folder:
      • server_​api.py
      • server-api.idvserver.xml
      • veyon.idvserver.windows.py
7. Create a new folder:

mkdir C:\Windows\Setup\Files

8. Copy the downloaded veyon installer into the folder created in step 7.
9. Copy the files below into the folder created in step 7:
   1. Inside the IDV package, at /scripts/windows_​setup/ folder:
      • build_​configurator.bat
      • enable-smb.idvserver.ps1
      • setup_​vm_​gui_​config.windows.bat
      • setup.idvserver.windows.bat. If a proxy is required, replace the proxy in this file with the correct proxy before copying this file

   

   Notes: Only changes on these two lines are required
