​Intel PerfSpect Tool

Intel provides a PerfSpect tool for Linux that captures relevant hardware and software details from a server:

PerfSpect output is extremely helpful in identifying system bottlenecks, or settings and tunings that are not optimized for the workload. When opening a support case with Intel for Ethernet-related performance issues, be sure to include PerfSpect output for each Linux server in the test configuration (please include all files).

To use PerfSpect for system analysis:

1. ​Download and install PerfSpect: wget https://github.com/intel/PerfSpect.git
2. ​Collect output: ./perfspect report
3. ​Attach report files for each server to the Intel support case for analysis (html is most useful. Please attach all files for comprehensive system check).
