Intel(R) System Debugger NDA

Intel® System Debugger is a modern, GUI-based architecture system software debugger. It provides a toolset to explore the state of the system, capture and analyze traces from hardware, firmware, and software sources, analyze system crash logs, and much more.

The documentation is available in the following formats:

  • HTML bundle at <install-dir>/documentation/index.html

  • Online book at Resource & Documentation Center (requires signing in)

  • Eclipse* IDE Help. Go to Help (or press F1) and select User Guide (the top item).

Intel® System Debugger 2024 NDA Update 2422
  • Initial Crash Log support for EVTX file.

  • Updated Python sample files and command line interface samples in IDV Tool.

  • Broken modules now visible in the Modules view.

  • Symbol information provided in the Instruction Trace view.

  • Deprecation of Legacy Message View, Message Distribution view, Time Difference view, and Marker view in System Trace.

  • Replacement of “Decode As” dialog with decode editor in System Trace.

  • Removal of Catalog Preview View in System Trace which is replaced by new catalog section in decode editor and new tab in streaming configuration.

  • Automatic start of Virtual UART upon target connection in Target Connection Assistant.

  • Addition of Virtual UART configuration section in the profile editor of Target Connection Assistant.

  • Add AET to PTI support on GNR server products

  • Add support for multi-die tracing using Self-Hosted Trace
