Prerequisites

  1. A machine running on Windows OS or refer to Create Windows Virtual Machine using Virtual Machine Manager Running on Ubuntu OS
  2. Download and install NTLite on Windows from the official site.
  3. Note:NTLite is free to download and use in its basic version for personal and trial purposes only. Read the license agreement for details. This document is based on NTLite v2024.5.9946
  4. For Windows 11, download Windows 11 IoT Enterprise version 22H2 iso image. (While other versions of Windows 11 are not currently being validated, they may still work as well.)
  5. Download Veyon 4.8.3 from the official GitHub release.
  6. Get the latest package idv-v1.3.13.zip.
  7. Download Python 3.12.4 at Windows installer (64-bit)
  8. Get Rufus from the official site.
  9. Unzip the idv package, and copy the files below into one folder:
    1. At /scripts/idv-client/
      • idv-vm.conf
    2. At /scripts/windows_​setup/
      • build_​configurator.bat
      • enable-smb.idvserver.ps1
      • veyon.idvserver.windows.py
      • server_​api.py
      • server-api.idvserver.xml
      • setup_​vm_​gui_​config.windows.bat
      • setup.idvserver.windows.bat. If a proxy is required, replace the proxy in this file with the correct proxy before copying this file

    4. At /gui folder, zip idv-vm-configurator folder as below:
