Socket Occupied: Pulled down directly in the processor package to the ground. System board designers may use this signal to determine if the processor is present for safety purposes, it helps to avoid accidentally applying power to the socket while nothing is installed into the socket.

If the customers do not want to use or do not need to use the pin (PKG without socket), they can leave it floating.
